and has since grown into a factory with its own trading system
Tracing back to 1916 during the Japanese colonial era, when the first generation obtained a legal license to operate the pork business, the company started out raising pigs and wholesaling pork at traditional markets, selling over 200 pigs a day at its peak. Now in the hands of the fourth generation, the company has transformed and expanded — establishing its own processing plant and warehouse facilities, founding a trading company, and growing into the import trade of meat, seafood, and other food products.
We aspire to serve as a professional link in the food supply chain, providing quality products for our own brand as well as for various distribution channels. Beyond a diverse product range, we also strive to convey the dedication of farmers and fishermen across regions to end consumers — building trade connections through Yi Kuan that foster mutually beneficial and sustainable relationships, from upstream agriculture, fishery, and livestock industries, to food manufacturers, suppliers, the restaurant industry, and family dinner tables alike.
"Integrity, Connectivity, Sustainability, and Shared Prosperity" are the core principles that guide Yi Kuan's business philosophy.
