However, the team initially faced the possibility of missing the tournament due to insufficient travel funding. Thanks to the generous support of donors from all sectors of society, a total of NT$5 million was successfully raised, enabling the young players to embark on their journey with encouragement and confidence as they proudly represent Taiwan on the international stage.

Exciting news has come from Wanfeng Elementary School in Wufeng District, Taichung! The school's baseball team claimed the National Championship at the Taiwan Babe Ruth League National Qualifying Tournament, earning the honor of representing Taiwan at the 2026 Babe Ruth League Cal Ripken 12U World Series in the United States. The team is scheduled to depart for the U.S. at the end of July, where these young athletes will proudly compete on the international stage and strive to bring glory to Taiwan.

However, the cost of traveling to the United States for the tournament amounted to NT$5 million, posing a major challenge to the children’s dream of competing on the world stage. After the news spread, support poured in from across the community, with government agencies, local organizations, businesses, and generous individuals all stepping forward to help. In the end, the required travel funds were successfully raised, allowing the young players to set off on their dream journey with peace of mind
